Tahira Scott is a Nephrologist servicing the Torres and Strait Hospital and Health Service. Her interest include health equity and working  with our First Nation communities in urban and non-urban settings to improve their Chronic Disease through self empowerment and integrative models. Tahira believes if a clinician understands  medical conditions and medications well, they then have an enhanced ability to explain it to their patients devoid of jargon ,  leading  to enhance health literacy and  ownership of their chronic disease.
